Your plastic Visa or Mastercard gift card can be used in-store like a regular debit card! Here’s why a PIN (Personal Identification Number) is useful:
Use Your Card In-Store
- At the Register: When swiping your card at the register, select the Debit option and enter your 4-digit PIN.
- Foregoing the PIN: If you prefer not to enter a PIN, you can hit the green button on the card machine when asked to enter your PIN.
Creating or Updating Your PIN:
- During Activation: You may create a PIN when activating your card.
- Checking Balance: You can also update your PIN when checking your card’s balance.
Online Purchases:
- No PIN Required: A PIN is not required for online purchases.
- Credit Option: A PIN is also not needed for in-store transactions if you select the credit option.
Virtual Cards:
No PIN Option: Virtual Visa and Mastercard gift cards do not have the option to assign a PIN as they are intended for online purchases only.
Entering Card Information: If you are making an online purchase and are asked to enter a PIN, ensure you are entering your card information in the debit/credit card section, not the gift card section.
