How do I connect a Perfect Gift to my debit or credit card?
Perfect Gift lets you choose a brand to redeem your gift with. Once you choose a brand, you will be able to link your gift directly to a debit or credit card of your choice. Once you connect them, your gift is automatically debited at that store when you shop there. Our system sees the transaction and issues you a credit after you make the purchase. The credit is immediately issued, but you must have the funds available in order to make the purchase.
Example:
If you have a $100 PerfectGift, you get to choose what brand to redeem it as. For example, you can choose to redeem it as a Barnes & Noble gift card. After you select that brand, you will link the PerfectGift to a credit or debit card of your choice. Next time you purchase from Barnes & Noble using that credit or debit card, our system will automatically issue you a credit in the same amount up to the value of the gift. In this example, if you spend less than $100, the remaining balance will be available for your next purchase at Barnes & Noble.
You don’t have to remember the gift card as it will already be there! If you want to save that balance or don’t want to use it for that particular purchase, simply choose a different payment method, and the linked gift will not be used.
