Can I add my gift card to my mobile Apple or Google Wallet?

Yes, you can - with a quick check first.

Before you get started

• Have a Visa gift card?
  You can skip ahead to the Apple Wallet or Google Wallet steps below.
• Have a Mastercard gift card?
  You’ll need to verify it first. Just follow the steps below.
   

Verify your Mastercard gift card

Mastercard gift cards issued on or after March 3, 2025 can be added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

• Step 1
  If your card is already in your wallet and you see a message to contact your bank or card issuer, remove the card from your wallet first.
  If the card is not in your wallet, move on to Step 2.

• Step 2
  Visit the Activate page and enter your card number and CVV.

• Step 3
  Click Add to Wallet.

• Step 4
  Enter the cardholder’s phone number or email address. We’ll send a one-time verification code to confirm your card.

• Step 5
  Once verified, open Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and follow their prompts to finish adding your card.

Add your gift card to Apple Wallet

• Step 1
  Open the Wallet app on your Apple device.
• Step 2
  Tap the + icon.
• Step 3
  Select Debit or Credit Card.
• Step 4
  Scan your card or enter the details manually.
• Step 5
  Follow the prompts to verify your card. You may receive a code by text or email.

Add your gift card to Google Wallet

• Step 1
  Open the Google Wallet app. If needed, download it from the Google Play Store.
• Step 2
  Tap Add to Wallet.
• Step 3
  Select Payment card.
• Step 4
  Scan your card or enter the details manually.
• Step 5
  Follow the prompts to verify your card. You may receive a code by text or email.
