If you have made a return or canceled a purchase using your gift card, you will be eligible for a refund. This applies to Visa or Mastercard gift cards that are still valid and in the possession of the cardholder. Refunds may take up to 3 to 7 business days to settle and reflect on your card's balance.
In some cases, like hotel and Car rental establishments, the hold may be 30 days.
Helpful Tips:
- Credits from Merchants: Refunds for canceled or returned orders will be credited back to your gift card.
- Discarded Prepaid Visa or Mastercard: If you have discarded your card, a replacement card may be issued in some cases (see Lost or Stolen Cards).
- Discarded Physical Merchant Gift Card: Generally, there is no recourse for discarded physical merchant gift cards. You may contact the merchant for further assistance.
- Discarded Digital Merchant Card: You may request that the original eGift link be resent to your email.
- Expired or Replaced Cards: Refunds cannot be applied to a gift card that has expired or been replaced.
