When sending a PG+ physical gift card on PerfectGift.com, you can choose from three packaging tiers — Good, Better, and Best — to create a more meaningful gifting experience. This guide walks you through selecting a packaging option and personalizing it with a message, audio, or video greeting.
Packaging Options at a Glance

Step 1: Select Your Packaging
During the gift card purchase flow, you’ll reach the Packaging Selection step.
- Choose your preferred packaging tier: Good, Better, or Best.
- Your selection will automatically carry over whether you’re sending with a carrier or a greeting card.
- Pricing for each tier is displayed on-screen — your cart and order summary will reflect the packaging cost.
| 💡 Tip: Not sure which tier is right for you? Better is great for heartfelt moments like birthdays or graduations. Best is perfect for milestone gifts where a personal video message will mean the most. |
Step 2: Add Your Personalization
If you selected “Good”
Skip to Step 3 to customize your insert.
If you selected “Better” — Audio Greeting Card
- On the Audio Greeting step, choose one of the following:
- Select a pre-recorded audio file from our curated library of music and messages.
- Upload your own audio file to record a personal message.
- Your audio will be embedded in the physical card for the recipient to play back.

If you selected “Best” — Video Greeting Card
- On the Video Greeting step, click Upload Your Video.
- Select the video file from your device.
- Your video will be stored and embedded in the physical card for the recipient to watch.

Step 3: Customize Your Insert
All three tiers include a customizable insert (the left panel inside the card). This is your space to add a personal written message or a special image.
- On the Customize Left Panel step, choose one of the following:
- Add Text — Type a personal note or message.
- Add an Image — Upload a photo to print on the insert.
- Preview your design on-screen before continuing.
| 📌 Note: Instructions for playing the audio or video are automatically printed on the back of the insert for Better and Best cards, so the recipient knows exactly how to access your greeting. |
Step 4: Review Your Gift
Before adding your gift to the cart, you’ll see a Review Your Gift summary screen.
- Confirm your selected packaging tier, personalization, and insert design.
- If anything needs adjusting, use the Edit options to make changes.
- Once everything looks right, click Add to Cart.
Step 5: Confirm at Checkout
Your Order Summary in the cart and checkout will display:
- The selected packaging tier (Good, Better, or Best)
- Any additional packaging cost
- The gift card amount
Review the summary and complete your purchase as normal.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the recipient replay the audio or video after opening the gift?
Yes — the audio or video is embedded within the physical packaging itself, so the recipient can play it back anytime.
Can I change my packaging selection after placing an order?
Packaging selections are finalized at checkout. If you need to make a change, please contact our support team as soon as possible.
What file types and sizes are supported for audio and video uploads?
Accepted formats and file size limits are displayed on the upload screen during checkout. If you’re having trouble uploading, ensure your file meets the listed requirements.
Why can’t I see the Better and Best options?
These tiers are only available for PG+ physical Visa and White-Label gift cards. If you don’t see the options, double-check that you’ve selected an eligible card type.
Is there an extra cost for Better or Best packaging?
Yes, premium packaging tiers are priced higher than the standard Good option. Pricing is shown clearly during the packaging selection step and reflected in your order summary.
